Hon. Marcus Garvey's address to African Americans gathered in Harlem in 1924. This is one of his famous speeches
.
The speech is known as "Look for me in the wirl winds." It is also known as "Africa Must Unite."

In 1924, Africa and Africans were people who were under the yoke of colonialism. The entire continent, except for Ethiopia (& somewhat Liberia) was under violent occupation
.
Hon. Marcus Garvey said Africans must stand up and liberate themselves like everyone else
.
He warned "if you cannot do it, if you are not prepared to do it, YOU WILL DIE". If Babylon did it, Assyria did it, France under Napoleon, Germany under Bismarck, America under Washington, then "Africa can do it."

He said how other people with good leadership had freed themselves. And he told his follower to look to emerging African leaders, particularly, to pay attention to a certain Dej-Azmach Tafari Mekonen (who would later be crowned Emperor Haile Selassie )

Some 3 decades after this thanderous speech, his dream became true when, in 1963, under the leadership of many Africans (HIM taking the lead) Africa unity was achieved
.
28 African leaders came together to sign the original charter. Then, as new nations became liberated, they signed the charter of unity
.
Shortly thereafter, nearly every inch of Africa was completely liberated with exception of some territories in the south
.
Immediately, Western nations began to undermine the new unity. They assassinated leaders and overthrew some of the founding fathers slowing the pace of unity and development
.
Africa Must Unite

If we cannot do it, then we will continue to die like we are now
.
Unity is the only solution
